Induction formed approximately 2 years ago after Dave Kerr and Luke Keady attended a Marden High Rock Night. They were distinctly unimpressed by the whole evening and the bands that performed. They reckoned they could do better, so decided to make a band. It was to be the greatest band in the world! Keady, already an experienced guitarist, suggested Kerr take up the bass. This he did, and he is now a very accomplished player, able to create and play various ear-prickling riffs. The 2 friends now had a problem; No drummer. However, Dan Brown proved he could play a blinding rock four, and this was enough for his entry to the band. A close friendship with the others had nothing to do with it.
The band, initially known as ‘Induction to Life’ first performed at a Marden High talent contest. Stereophonics classic ‘Lying in the Sun’ was the song to be sung. Unsurprisingly; the band did not win, with this being their first ever performance. However, there was clearly talent in the group of 3, but something was missing. Pete Harrison, aka Noel Gallagher, joined the band shortly after they formed, to complete the four-piece indie rock band that sits in-front of you today.
The band are currently trying to play as many gigs as possible, as well as writing new tunes and saving to get into a studio to record some music for your listening pleasure. The recordings currently on this site are either old, very poor, or home recordings. Please do not take these songs as a fair representation of the band, as it is not. Coming to see us would probably be the best night out you’ve ever had! We are managed by Stephen Davison ([email protected]). Lease add us, and come to our gigs!!
