The Fun Machines

MyGen Profile Generator The Fun Machines are a five-piece rock band from Peterborough. We formed in the Spring of 2006 and within weeks were playing shows all over the eastern province, rocking everywhere from Peterborough, Cambridge, Stamford, Whittlesey to Spalding and beyond, playing 14 shows in a small amount of time including 2 minor festivals. Not bad for an unknown band only a few months old! A songwriting frenzy culminated with the release of our debut, self recorded, 10 track album "Fine, Respectable Young Men" (available upon request) at the end of the summer.
We came in the top 30 out of nearly 1000 bands in a national competition to find unsigned bands run by Channel 4 and were very highly commended. We have a loyal following who we love hard, and we value our reputation for putting on no-nonsense good-time shows. Word.
Although currently on something of an indefinate hiatus whilst we pursue education and/or work, we have a few shows lined up over the Xmas period, including a gig at the world-famous Cavern club in Liverpool at the end of January. Who knows what the future holds...
