Sue Quigley has a magnificent voice. Her warm, full-bodied alto is reminiscent of early Melissa Etheridge, Susan Tedeshi and Bonnie Raitt and, like those artists, she's also an accomplished guitar player. Sue started playing guitar and writing songs at 13 after her teenaged sister abandoned it for other pursuits (read: boys). Influences include Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde, REM, Concrete Blonde, and Lucinda Williams, and the soul-glimpsing lyrics make her music all the more accessible"

Setting your sights on a career as a singer-songwriter is an
ambitious enough undertaking -- but for Sue Quigley, it's an
even more daunting task when you're also a full-time school
counselor... Sue wouldn't have it any other way.
Sue began writing songs at age 13, but it wasn't until
three years ago after meeting a bass-playing neighbor that she decided to form a band and record a cd.
Following the debut and self titled EP, the Sue Quigley band reformed with a few new members, and recorded Their first full-length record titled, "Outside In". Sue’s first full length album was coproduced by Joe Reineke (the Meices, Alien Crime Syndicate, Guns N Roses) setting the stage for a burgeoning music career.
This full length CD is notably more gritty and a touch more rock-and-roll than the original EP, but maintains the classic haunting vocal charisma Sue is known for. Part of the new sound can be attributed to the backgrounds and influences of the new artists who have joined her band since the release of her debut EP.
David Wall (also in Seattle Rock band “American School of Warsawâ€) joined Sue as a replacement guitarist shortly after the release of her EP. Before long he had taken on the roll of full time lead. After a few near successes with a few drummers, Sue found Roy Adler to be a perfect fit. Not long after, Sue needed a new bass player and that role was filled by friend and fellow musician Anthony Monaco.
David credits the diversity of his tastes with the style he shows in his playing. His grace and keen edge on guitar goes from lilting themes to right -up -to -your -face power rawk. Adding a tasty undertone and a fresh perspective on bass is Anthony Monaco (also in “Loopholeâ€) and bringing a wealth of pop/rock experience,Roy Adler shows his skills run the gamut from the subtle to the sublimely hard-rocking.
Having been slected to play the prestigous Rockrgrl Conference in Seattle and
"Chick Singer NIght" at the famous Bitter End in NYC, Sue is eager to promote her latest cd with a return to tour the East Coast this summer and a West Coast tour to So Cal. this spring.
When asked about the future? A second CD,working with a label and hopefully,... no more class scheduling.
