Saturn was born on May 20 1983, Cape Town.Attended school in the mother city with a constant interest in art and music. After graduating he did a 2 year digital design course (web, print, design).A naturally creative person, he is inspired by music, art, life, culture and his surroundings. He admits to taking a different approach to music and in 2002 found an outlet for this creativity by producing hip-hop beats for Art-Officials, a crew he helped form. The group split up and he decided to go solo for a while.Now residing in Mowbray, he combines design and beat making skills to help build the hip-hop scene in Cape Town, packaging and producing material with various local artists Metabolism, Rhamncwa & Rattex (Maniac Squad), Intelektu, Ill Literate Skill, Ben Sharpa & Breez (from Groundworks).2005 Joined crew Writers Block, consisting of: Stimulus & Arsenic (Metaphysical Misfits), Konfab, Vernon Visqus, Coco (a German mc/producer) and Metabolism. Saturn will contribute beats to the album as well as to a compilation called Drudge Dialect, which will be released by BlackMist.While working hard on Metabolisms album, T.O.L.E (Theatre Of Lyrical Engenuity), the two decided to form a crew along with DJ Big Dre called Self Contained. The idea is to finish and launch the album within the next year and hopefully connect with like-minded artists nationally.
