Schuylkill Wildlife Rehab Clinic

My teacher, Tom Brown Jr., once told me: do nothing less in life than that which you would die for.

About Me

The mission of the Schuylkill Wildlife Clinic is to protect the future of native wildlife species through education, rehabilitation and release. The Clinic is the only state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that accepts all species within Philadelphia and the surrounding Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. As human development continues along the east coast corridor, the suitable habitat for wildlife is ever decreasing. This leads to more human contact, which in turn results in increased risk of injury for the animals. The Clinic meets an overwhelming need for medical care and refuge 365 days a year for thousands of wild animals that have been injured or displaced due to human contact, with the goal of releasing them back into their natural environment. These services are provided by Director Ric Schubert, who a State and Federally licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, Assistant Director Sarahann Koenig, and a dedicated team of 50 volunteers. Although our services are free of charge, we are dependent on the generous donations of Clinic supporters.
