About Me

My Interests

Dedicated to Timmy and in memory of Marcus, and all the children like themVery eclectic tastes in music, movies, books, people. Loved following the powwow trail in the past. Travel whenever I can, especially the Western US. Always up for a road trip (doing the entire Route 66 is a major dream). Adding to my collection of knives (Bowies, daggers, short swords).

I'd like to meet:

I'm just interested in meeting like-minded people. It's probably easier to describe first who I don't want to meet.. I hate liars, despise hypocrites, posers(that describes most of the politicians in the world). I have no use for organized religions who preach love but practice hate and intolerance. I hate slapstick "humor" and anyone who likes that is not on my radar screen. I'm more into Monty Python and off the wall satirical stuff. Don't like guys of any age who act like they're 12 years old - really juvenile jerks. I'm a product of the 60s and all that involves - I really embraced most of the attitudes of that time, and have to admit I still do. Couldn't get into the peace and love crap then or now - I've got too much hostility in my soul. I think that's what I'm supposed to work on in this life. I have a fascination for mystical realities, want to know more about the shamanic traditions of other cultures. I'm usually a pretty laid-back type of person in spite of my intensity. I believe in letting you do your thing and I'll do mine, but try to screw around with me or mine and it's over. I like meeting people of other cultures and have a fairly eclectic circle of friends.

Music:

SuicideKiss.com - Deadly pictures, gothic horror, sick layouts

Movies:

Just about anything with Robert DeNiro or Marty Scorcese, and Clint Eastwood. Love DVD's with the special features so I can learn the background of my faves. All time faves are: Godfather 1 and 2, Outlaw Josey Wales, Powwow Highway, Day of The Jackal (the one based on Frederick Forsyth's novel), Die Hard with a Vengeance - these I can watch forever, From Russia With Love, The Harder They Come, Lonesome Dove miniseries, British Cold War/spy miniseries Smiley's People, Ronin, Thunderheart and Incident at Oglala, Dances with Wolves, Sid & Nancy, The Harder They Come and Dancehall Queen (both Jamaican movies)

Television:

hate reality shows - they suck big time and stupid sitcom crap. I mostly watch ESPN & TNT for the NBA games, History and Discovery Channels, Food Network, some travel shows, documentaries..

Books:

Like paranormal/time travel/smutty romance books. Love vampire erotica (esp. Sherilyn Kenyon and JR Ward). Collect books about Native American cultural/political issues for my library, as well as archaeology and art, especially the Maya and Inca cultures. Have tried to read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee several times, but I get so agitated and upset and pissed off (especially the parts about Wounded Knee and Sand Creek) that I have never been able to finish it. Floyd Red Crow Westerman said it right, "Custer Had it Coming"...

Heroes:

Moonface Bear (late NA activist in CT in 90s)- I learned a lot from this man about standing up for what you believe no matter what, John Trudell - this man is one of the most interesting and inspirational people I have ever met. Dennis Banks. Quannah Parker and Crazy Horse
