Yu Ji Tae

Sometimes translation-credited as YOO Ji Tae or Yu Gee Tae.He made his acting debut in the 1990 Let's Look at the Sky but went on to become a fashion model until his first major role in 1998.The actor prefers to work in film rather than television drama series and his combined credits are few due mostly to the fact that he was also a graduate student in college.Yu Ji Tae graduated from Danguk University Film & Theatre Department and completed his graduate studies at Joongang University in Visual Art(where he also directed his own short film).In 2002 he also went to Japan to further his studies.Ji Tae is an emotional power-house on screen,making him one of Korea's most trusted and sought-after actors.His films are always popular among the cinematic audiences. Some of his movies include the much loved action comedy Attack the Gas Station; Libera ME, Korea's fire-fighter blockbuster;Woman is the Future of Man, which despite being describe as "smart,literate and subtly funny" by film critics, the movie won online awards as the top film that "dishonored women" by Korea's Feminist Artist Network; and last year's hit Oldboy which won grand prize of the jury at the 57th Cannes Film Festival and is now slated for a U.S. remake.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
