ORIGINS is an emerging church community specifically designed for urban professionals, young families and emerging artists. We are a diverse community of Christ followers who seek to live out His mission in the culture and context of the city. We value passion, creativity, meaning, truth and love. Our name reflects our desire to live out the origins of the movement Jesus had in mind, and the origins of the new humanity that makes up his kingdom.
Our community is built on a network of small groups that meet throughout the city then gather together weekly to share how the kingdom of God has become a reality in our lives. We are passionate about being the church, not simply attending it.
We value the tradition of the story of God as told through the Hebrew Scriptures, and the last 2000 years of people who have lived in the way of Jesus. We seek to engage the issues and passions of our day, and be the people of God bringing the kingdom of God into our world. We also dream about becoming the church God has in mind and shaping the future in alignment with the heart of God.
