V.I.S.A
Villan In South Alabama
V.I.S.A born Vincent Parker (hailing from Mobile, Alabama) fell in love with writing rhymes at an early age back in 3rd grade. Always trying to follow the foosteps of his older cousins that were rapping at the time. He recorded his first song at the age of 10 on his karokee machine, previewing it for his two cousins Mann & Tasha. This moment would become one of the key turning points in his young life. After Tasha listened to the song, she told him that once he starts putting concept and emotion into his music, it would be able to connect with the listener more. Using this as a tool for advancement and motivation ,he kept writing rhymes. But it wasn't until Vincent's adolescent years that he started taking his music seriously and hooked up with one of his middle school friends to write songs. The more he wrote rhymes the more his skills progressed. After leaving his first middle school after seventh grade, he and his partner in rhyme Cezar seperated for the upcoming eigth grade year. During this period V.I.S.A (at the time known as Dominoe) continued to developed his talent for writing rhymes. Rapping for fellow classmates and neighborhood pals developing confindence in his rhymes. Although this was the toughest period in his life suffering through several setbacks: transitioning to a single-mother home with three younger siblings, neighborhood friends turning against him, and losing key family members in his life, Vincent perservered and stayed focused on music trying not to succumb to the many pressures of the streets.
Now in high school and reunited in the 9th grade with Cezar. They continued to develop their rhymes, sharing them on lunchwaves with other school yard rappers. Going on to create a group of four consisting of themselves, another middle school buddy Abe and new found friend Eric to later be called da "Killa 4 Set". They continued to rap for everybody and anybody on lunchwave or who cared to share rhymes with them. Separating at the end of 9th grade due to personal decisions, V.I.S.A went on to pursue his dream by himself. It wasn't until 10th grade where he later me his new partner in Rhyme T-Fly who further helped in the developing of his talent. Together they seeked to combine all the talented artists that rap together with them on lunchwave....Suffering through several failed attempts, it wasn't until second semester of 11th grade where their plans finally came together. Hooking up with another friend C.A.S they later went on to record several songs (Came in da Game , Call Me What U Wanna, etc.) that led to a performance in the school auditorium in front of hundres of their peers.
After school let out for summer break, V.I.S.A went to stay with his grandparents. During this time, he brought a mixer, mic, and a beat machine. Now with his own equipment, V.I.S.A went on to record his first mixtape/album "Defacin da Game". This 22 track effort had strong points but it lacked consistency from song to song. Typically found on this cd was V.I.S.A tryin to combine school yard verses but really no concepts to his song. By time his 12th grade year rolled around he was ready to display his musical ensemble to his peers , but it was highly overlooked. Now, back connected with T-Fly along with friend Dj Wonka they created the legendary high school clique T.N.T. Through many ups and downs, growing pains, and other issues the developed a strong cult-like buzz , but just like all the other attempts the clique once again fizzled at the end of da summer.
V.I.S.A now embarked on his solo career, he dropped his second mixtape I Got Issues: Volume 1 on Halloween '06. Once again, he produced another 22 track effort ,but this time he showed more consistency with songwriting ability. Producing countless classics ("No Talkin", "I Ain't Got Too", and "I Got Issues")to go along with creating his catchphrase "Welcome to da Show", V.I.S.A showed growth and maturity in his music. Although this was his sophmore album it never saw the light of day, due to several setbacks. At the top of the new year(2007), V.I.S.A was back with a collaborative effort album (Real Niggas On Da Rize: Volume 1). This album was well recieved throughout the southeast. But, not to be satisfied by July V.I.S.A had finished his latest and greatest cd to date...."Da Hostile Takeover: Get Down or Lay Down" which is currently available right now !!!
