CJ Foster was born in Queens, New York, but moved around a lot when he was younger. His family eventually settled in Mobile, Alabama. While in middle school, CJ began to act out. Concerned about this, his parents and teachers insisted that he take anger management courses. He was told that writing his emotions down may help him to deal with things without acting so drastically. These writings became poems, and in time, grew into raps.CJ kept his talent to himself throughout middle school. It wasn't until he attended Murphy High, that he would share his skills with his peers. After winning numerous battles and getting somewhat of a reputation, CJ adopted the name Foster Child (a play off of his last name) and decided to take rapping a bit more seriously. Taking Jay-Z's quote "I'd rahter die enormous than live dormat" to heart, he has since been grinding in order to create a lane in the music industry. He has recently completed his mixtape: "Tha Appetizer", and is currently working on his 2nd volume of the mixtape "2nd Course". He is also looking for any producers willing to contribute to his album "Work In Progress". While he realizes he has a long way to go, Foster Child remains confident that he will succeed. "At the end of the day, I'm being real. I never claimed to be a super thug ass nigga, I'm far from soft, but I ain't no gangsta. I represent for the average dude who has to go through his fair shair of bullshit. I'm certain at the end of the day, there are more niggas who can relate to everyday struggles and victories than can relate to over exaggerated tales of ballin', gun bustin', and drug dealin'.
