Next door to Charleston, South Carolina, in a town called Cross, is where a talented singer, songwriter, musician and producer was born.
Sherman Spann, a.k.a Miles Sherman grew up in a household where music lived. With the sounds of the Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, the Mighty Clouds of Joy, Steve Wonder, Al Green and many more lingered in the air, this young mind soaked up such talent, knowledge and passion for what today would become his love: MUSIC.
At the age of six, this middle child was an entertainer in the making. Singing lead vocal in both of his parent's gospel groups, The Voices of Cross and The Spiritual Gospel Singers, he was later approached to be a part of the Sunbeam Youth Choir.
At the age of twelve, Sherman taught himself the keyboard. Making up melodies in his room, he quickly began writing lyrics and building his compositions; hence, he beginning of a songwriter.
As the years went by, Sherman involved himself with everything that had to do with music such as playing drums and singing in his high school jazz band, to musically directing the choir while in college where he was a strong influence.
As his love for music grew stronger, Sherman decided to move to New York City to pursue his music career, performing on legendary stages where everyone from unsigned to major artist has performed. He is a confident vocalist and an intriguing entertainer. "I want to speak to the world with my songs and be there as you go through the roller coaster of life", he said.
