About Me

Layout Created at KillerKiwi.net
In a very short amount of time Mark Cobb has quickly made a name for himself as one of the finest drummers in the Atlanta music scene. Originally from Indianapolis, ?Mark has worked as a professional musician in Los Angeles (where he studied under soul great James Gadson), Chicago, and finally Atlanta where he moved a few years ago. ?Mark plays drums professionally with Atlanta rock band Y-O-U, a touring group that has performed at Music Midtown, the Tabernacle, the Georgia Theater in Athens, and at a plethora of other venues throughout the Southeast. Mark also works regularly as a session drummer with bands and solo artists in the studio, in local venues, or on the road. In his spare time, ?Mark scuba dives, writes screenplays, films sketch comedy, teaches Jazzercise, and defends his title as the ultimate pop culture knowledge bowl champion. I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.
