TITAN'S STORY -I was brought to a high-kill shelter in Jersey City, NJ after I was a Christmas present no one wanted anymore.On the day that was meant to be my last, some very nice people from a no-kill shelter (also in Jersey City, NJ) came to rescue me, hoping they would find someone that was looking for an out of control, not housetrained, not ANYTHING trained Doberman. They posted my pic on Petfinder.com, and it just so happened my mom and dad to be were looking to adopt another Dobie, so they came to meet me 3 days before Christmas 2003. I was so excited when they let me out of my crate that I knocked my mom into the wall and then I peed on the side of the counter...still they managed to see through all my craziness that I wanted to be a good doggie,I just needed some help and patience...so that night, Dec 22, 2003, I found my forever home...It was better being a Christmas present this time around!________________________________________________XENA' S STORY -I was removed by animal control from the home of people that hoarded animals..25 dogs, 40 cats, birds, hampsters, you name it. . . The also had little boys there that were not very nice to me at all. So I was brought to a no-kill shelter in Plainfield, NJ. The people there were so nice, but very busy b/c they were very overcrowded...so much so that I had to share a cage with another dog! I was here for a really long time, everyone was scared of me b/c I am half pit bull,they think that I will hurt them. One day though, they came to my cage and said someone was here to see me, and it turned out,my mom to be saw my picture on Petfinder.com also. So I met my new family in the yard of the shelter, my little bro took a little getting used to, always in my face, but we're good now. The people at the shelter told my mom that they should go home and think about it for a few days, make sure it was the right decision, but my mom would have none of it, she said she was taking me out of there that day, no if's and's or but's! I love my home now, because I am allowed to just be a dog.
