About Me

Add to My Profile | More Videos
Steve Richer first really got into music at secondary school, after hearing his music teacher improvising the Star Wars theme tune on the piano. Finding that he got to grips with "the dots" rather easily for a non-musician, Steve then taught himself to play the keyboards at age 14, inspired by a love of unusual time signature rock keyboard solos in the Rick Wakeman, Genesis, and Marillion vein. Teaching himself bass was to follow at age 19 (and has become his favourite instrument), along with drums. Steve has played in various bands including rock bands and church worship bands.
Composing and writing music has always been one of Steve's big passions, and he intends to explore this in much more depth in the future. Steve has always wanted to collaborate with a good lyricist, as his lyrical gifts are unlikely to win many prizes!
Click below to play a fun pop video I made of a song I wrote for Valentine's Day 2004 about my then girlfriend's (now wife) pet mini-lop bunny rabbit, Barney. It was a real rush job, with only one take of vocals ever being done, so please excuse the little rough edges! (Please turn the music player off before starting the video)Angel with Fur
