it's no small feat to successfully combine different musical directions as diverse as independent, rock, pop, electronica and heavy metal.
nilted does - and effortlessly so; andre hartmann and martin hillebrand, the musical masterminds behind nilted, bring all these seemingly disparate aspects together until they all make sense. they are neither afraid of classic pop arrangements and catchy hooks nor do they shy away from strumming e-guitars and less charming sound creations. samples, loops and keyboards paired with ambiguous lyrics that are both emotional and cold nothing is sacred to them and their discernable ear for pop-music detail. the result is a sound that is dark and melancholic yet new and refreshingly unpredictable.
they are supported by three well tried live musicians, who know how to convert nilteds sophisticated musical concept into an energetic stage act. because nilted is after all, despite the experimentation, all about enjoying rock music at its best: raw, alternative, and good.

tendenziell dunkel, melancholisch und im richtigen moment alles andere als zurückhaltend. dennoch, dabei eingängig und nachvollziehbar aber immer mit der liebe zum detail.
andre hartmann und martin hillebrand scheuen somit weder die begnung mit klassischen pop-arrangements und eingängigen gesangs-/melodielinien, noch das verwenden von brachialen gitarrenwänden und weniger liebevollen soundkreationen. eine grosse vorliebe der beiden musiker ist dabei die entdeckung der einfachheit, der simplen aber umso eindrucksvoller wirkenden komposition.
unterstützt werden die beiden von drei musikern, die es verstanden haben, dieses konzept in ein energetisches live-konzept umzusetzen. ohne diese drei wäre es nur ein konzept und keine musik.
eine musik, die trotzdem nicht den anspruch hat, eigene schubladen zu öffnen. es bleibt rock musik. anspruchsvoll, alternativ, gut.
inhaltlich gepaart immer mit persönlichen, gefühlvollen und meist zweideutigen ansätzen.
geradeaus, emotional und nicht immer vorhersehbar.
