EL SMOKATON

Hey there, my name is Smokaton and I really appreciate you showing up here. I wanna tell you a little bit about the past, present and future of my musical ego. Started playing drums at the age of 12, formed my first band THE FRIDGE 1992 at the age of 15. We played some 70ies covers back then until we started our first songwriting experiences way later. Starting my musical career by playing coversongs helped me a lot because it got me to a higher level of understanding things like songwriting as I would have had otherwise. Anyways, right after the split of that faithful first playground of my life I formed PERPETUUM OVERDOSE, which started as a Grunge-inspired Alternative thing and over the years mutated into some weird EpicGothProg-Monster of Metal (or at least something like that). Uncounted shows, three demo-releases and eight years later we unfortunately had to bury that thing again though in 2005. I then took a break from music at all because of some private things. But now, in the late 2007 I am back again on the scene and up for something new that I am just creating these days, probably just now as you read this, lol... The first few songs are written, not yet recorded though. I hope I will be able to put something up here soon. So, be prepared folks! I don't know yet what it will sound like in the end but as far as it seems it is gonna be a really rough but still melodic bastard of anything. Weird at least.
