I'm George, George McFly. I'm your density.

About Me

Yeah, you guessed it. This is the part where i start rattling off rediculous self-descriptions using the same words that pretty much everybody else uses and that nobody cares to know. You don't hafta read all of this. Maybe scanning it is advised, who knows. (i know, its alot...yeah, i get into details alot). I figured i'd give it a shot anyhow. Anyhow, maybe you know me well, or maybe you don't...(somethings telling me that most of you don't...could it be that theres only an endless number of people on myspace?...nah...). Either way, feel free to take a look around, and be careful around the breakables.
They named me "Lyndsay"
mostly i find myself going to classes (obviously), hanging out with friends, listening to music (almost constantly...& i can't go a day without listening to music), talking with people, having fun, watching movies, delving into anything that strikes me as interesting, being productive, laying around (more often than productiveness), surfing the computer, going to fun/neat places, being a night owl, finding stuff to do, taking an outrageous amount of pictures of people/places/things with my camera (i average around a few hundred to a thousand if i'm on a vacation...yeah, i take after my grandma to say the least), having drinks and other things of the sort sometimes, etc. basically, alot of this crud is listed extensively in other sections. *** (most of this stuff is shot to hell right now because i'm trying to get myself together...i'm backed up on alot of different stuff that i need to do in a ton of categories of life. which is also why i suck at keeping in contact with people. i'll eventually get back to "normal". whatever that means. haha.)
Anyhow, I'm:
* sick of people sometimes
* clumsy, accident-prone
* awkward
* friendly
* sometimes outgoing, other times not. sometimes uncomfortable, other times i can be even the most outgoing...depends. (eye contact issues sometimes, anyone? Haha.)
* open-minded
* accepting of differences
* a vegetarian
* an environmentalist
* a pacifist
* trying to work on self-esteem, but somehow i always let something shoot it down.
* a huge procrastinator
* not very open with my emotions/feelings in one or two types of situations, which screws me in the end.
* sometimes gloomy
* happy most of the time
* possible slight OCD & depression/anxiety (according to them)
* sometimes reclusive
* empathetic
* mighty sarcastic
My favorite shape is a star.
Nobody is superior to anybody else.
middle name is Ann (after my great-grandma from Germany, Hanna...actually Johanna. never met her).
Anyhow, I like to go to shows/concerts/gigs.
I straighten my hair sometimes...its actually curly-ish/sorta big. (i've dyed it black a bunch of times in the past, but its been its natural color of brown for a few years now)
I have a heart murmur as well as an off-and-on benign sinus arrhythmia (an irregular heartbeat, but other times i don't have one).
Pets: iguana, alaskan malamute, samoyed mix, 2 senegal parrots, water turtle, 3-toed box turtle, box turtle, fish, african dwarf frog. ((Past ones: tri-color collie, parakeets, hamsters, another parrot, lop-eared bunny, 2 ducks (mallard, & white), other fish/frogs.))
I wear contacts, and i've worn glasses. might get glasses on the side. for the rare occasion of not wearing contacts.
I'm learning german and i want to study anything in the vicinity of mainly zoology, environmental science, psychology, and maybe others.
Animals and nature are important. They need respect.
Music: a mixed bag of anything that sounds interesting:
* folk
* world/cultural/ethnic music
* classic/psychedelic rock
* punk
* alternative
* classical music
* bluegrass
* classic country
* reggae
* ska
* gothic
* anything else thats striking
Yeah, however, I try not to pay much attention to "genres".
I'm attempting/have learned to play:
* clarinet
* steel pans
* bells
* african drumming
* other percussion, but not really
* (guitar, drumset, piano, violin, cello, etc. would be awesome to learn).
I'm for:
* laughing
* thunderstorms
* rollercoasters/rides/amusement parks
* racial tolerance/diversity/equality
* the environment
* going to shows/concerts/gigs
* doing a whole lot of nothing whenever i can
* recycling
* being outside
* looking at clouds/sky/grass/scenery/etc.
* fresh air
* the earth
* comedy
* horror
* sci-fi
* B-movies
* surrealism (art, etc.)
* collecting pins/patches/stickers/stuff
* being nice to the animals
* family
* friends
* fun
* art
* craziness
* patterns: polka dots, plaid, stripes, etc.
* sun, moon, and/or star art/tapestries/jewelry/etc. (celestial)
* singing along to songs
* music (can't go a day without listening to it)
* animals
* poetry
* writing
* reading
* photography (i take tons of pictures, as i've said)
* psychology
* zoology
* movies (horror, comedy, sci-fi, B-movies, etc.)
* sleeping
* being a night owl
* museums
* learning foreign languages (german right now)
I mightily dislike:
* self-centeredness
* over-consumption/wastefulness/greed/etc.
* assumptions
* dishonesty/lies
* conceitedness
* two-facedness
* when people try to walk all over others
* when people tell somebody what they need to be doing in a rude way
* unnecessary things that harm animals (fur/leather/animal testing/slaughterhouses/hunting/etc.)
* closed-mindedness
* annoying chain letters
* war
* sale of guns
* production of nuclear weapons
* racists/KKK/neo-nazis/etc.
* homophobes
* holocaust revisionists (it happened)
* sexists
* things that aren't biodegradable (styrofoam, etc)
* people who ignore you when you say sorry for getting in their way at, for example, a grocery store (even when its their fault)
* george w. bush (and the fact that so many people voted for him the first time, let alone the second)
DISCLAIMER: This definitely doesn't mean that if you are and/or do one/any of these things that i don't like you. And yeah, i do have friends who have different views than me, and I don't think any less of them AT ALL. For all i know, some of the things that i think/do/believe would fall under their category of what they don't like.
favorite colors:
* (bright/exciting/neon and dark/deep colors)
* bright green
* purple
* black
* silver
Siblings:
* a sister, Jen (a year and a half or so older than me)
* no brothers
* There were supposed to be 2 others (one older than my sister and one younger than me), but they didn't make it. Strange to think of what they would've been like.
I was born a "cashew" and right now i don't really concern myself with religion much...probably because we spent our childhood hanging a star of david on the christmas tree. Then, we put out the milk & cookies and ran into the kitchen to light the menorah. I don't think i'll ever choose a religion, & its not important to me.
During the past summers since 2001, I've been responsible (along with another co-counselor or two) for around 15 little kids, give or take each year depending on the group & what age group i was with that year, attempting to work as their camp counselor at the JCC. I've also worked at some birthday parties there. Summer of 2007 was the first summer that I decided not to work at the JCC Summer Day Camp. I ended up working as an aftercamp counselor & then at the Days Out program there after that (both of those jobs end at the end of summer).
(ok, now that everyone knows all that useless and drawn out stuff about me, if they got this far...i've been adding more and more onto the about me, for an FYI purpose, & no, its not intended to be a drawn out thing about me...just wanted to tell a hell of alot of things)...Thanks bunches for visiting & please close the door on the way out to keep the draft out. We will be looking forward to your next stay.
^_^ROOTS (alphabetically)... germany hungary italy (sicily) lithuania russia slovenia jewish (is a heritage in ways) ...NOT THAT IT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE...ITS JUST AN FYI
