Lower-Fi than thou!

About Me

2000: Key players Dr.Schmuck and T.V's "Quincy" Jack Klugman assemble a motley collection of musicians to record their debut album, "Relaxin' With Joey Momsawhore". The cassette-only release is a surprise smash, combining blunt punk-rock, ultra lo-fi recording, primitive electronica and gormless pop. Fans celebrate, whilst critics denounce the band as 'Casio-core', or 'Luddite Rock', labels which the band themselves will proudly adopt. Then, apart from a couple of compilation appearances, all went quiet...2006: Schmuck and Klugman re-unite with a new squad to revisit their vision! A second (also cassette-only) album was recorded, taking the traditional Momsawhore mix of spazzy punk tunes, unsettling electro-lounge and heartfelt wimp-pop, and adding an extra twist of oddball psych country! The album, entitled "Fallin' Apart With Joey Momsawhore", was released at this years' Munkyfest! Now, with another all-new line-up, featuring the talents of Edward dePavillion (who can sometimes be found playing in Three Minute Margin under the pseudonym Paul Abbott) and Copland Powers (who also masquerades as Will Fitzpatrick in Flamingo 50), Joey Momsawhore are finally prepared to step out of the studio and onto the stage!
