I was born in april 1982 in Moenchengladbach/Germany. My first contact with electronic music was in 1992. My sister gave me a music-cassette with some house and techno music. It was recorded from a radio-show of a local radio-station The radioshow goes from 8pm till 6am every Saturday. By playing the MC I listened to synthetic music for the first time. The virus of electronic music infected my mind, and there was/is no healing! And from this day electronic music is a leading part of my life! In 2000 I reached the digital age by buying my first personal computer. For a half year the PC was used only for games and mp3-music, till a friend visited me with a CD-case in his hands. On this day I installed my first music software (Sonic Foundry Acid Style). It's an editing software with some factory default loops. I tried out to make some music, but i got bored very soon, because of the ready made loops. There was no chance for me to make some creative music and i went back to my 12“ plastik-wafers.In 2002 I resumed music-production, because in my head were much ideas, which wants to get out. Music production tools were enhanced in the two years I've paused. Native Instruments's Reaktor Studio 4 was the prog, which gave me the kick to try out producing music again! In this year i finished my first selfmade track: „Thomas Weitz – Against the Wall“!To put it in a nutshell, I got bored of using ready-made loops from any Loop-CDs.The next logical step was to search for any other Music-Progs, reading journals about music-producing... I dag out all available programs and learned to handle them...mostly by trial and error, but that is nearly the best way to understand how to use the programs,i think... My first sequenzer was the hammerhead-rhythem-station, a step sequenzer with 16 patterns, where I was able to add single samples. So I was able to create my own drumsequenzes...and I got envolved to a very fast moving scene. From ACID-Style via Magix via Hammerhead to the most powerful progams of today like Steinberg Cubase and Ableton Live, which are my favourite Music-Producing-Tools... I create music because I enjoy to be creative. There are so many ideas in my head – they need to be developed. Some other people paint pictures – I paint music. .......................... .......................... .......................... .......................... .......................... ..........................
