My name is Mykel (pronounced Michael), I prefer to be called Myke. I was born in the Mile High City (Denver, Colorado). I grew up with my beautiful mother, sister and brother. After the death of my Mother in 1993 I moved to Toledo, Ohio.
My childhood was very challenging, and full of hardships, giving me an advantage because it forced me to look at life from a different view in order to hold my head up. Other than the thrill of entertaining people all over the world. I want to change the world. Not by changing the ideas of adults, but by changing the way children view themselves and their possibilities in this world. I was homeless for much of my childhood, which took a toll on my self-esteem, confidence, and my overall well-being. As a kid growing up homeless made me feel hopeless and ashamed of myself until recent years. You don’t get to hear of those who grew up in homeless shelters and became successful. I want to be the example for the millions of homeless children out there, letting them know I was just like them and their possibilities in life are endless, and growing up rough is no excuse not to succeed.
I have always loved to entertain people, whether it’s acting, dancing, or rapping. So for me modeling is another vehicle to get my face and name out there. I am very professional and I take this business very seriously, because first and foremost it is a business. My original goals only included acting, but I decided not to limit my possibilities to progress in life.
My biggest strength is my resilience, which is definitely working for me in this industry. I’m a driven, determined, hard-working, intelligent, fun and compassionate young women, my personality and intentions will take me far in life.
