About Me

I suppose I would describe myself as an artist and designer. I was born in Monmouthshire in 1959, and studied Fine Art in the late 1970s/early 80s at Cardiff and obtained a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art in 1981.Since then I have exhibited fairly widely in the past, including the Royal Academy Summer exhibition and a variety of Eisteddfods in Wales amongst others, and have works in numerous private collections Worldwide and also one or two public collections in the UK.However over the last decade or so I have been concentrating more on “new” media. and design, basically because the internet is a more effective means of communication and expression and because it opens up opportunities to cost effectively show and sell work in various forms which didn’t really exist in the past. However I still work in a variety of mediums and styles including traditional media.

My Interests

Art, photography, design, the paranormal, space aliens, ufos. Music I play keyboard (but not in public LOL)

I'd like to meet:

Don't you just love those trick questions? :) Don't like to present too many preconcieved ideas to be honest. However I always seem to get on best with artistic and creative people, and also mad people generally, but that isn't a rule, you don't have to be especially certified in any way ;) to join my friends list :) Saying that although not a general rule I do sometimes deny friend requests where the profile is set to private or from sites that I think are just going to spam me.

NB my computer is about 3 year old now and although I have a fairly good broadband connection and can view most profiles without it crashing completely. If you have a lot of slide shows, videos, music, on your profile which all plays at the same time. I might not be able to view your profile properly or leave comments.

Music:

All sorts of stuff really I have very ecclectic tastes. I tend to enjoy BBC Radio 6 because they play a good sophisticated mix a bit like John Peel used to really.

Movies:

Rear Window by Hitchcock is one of my favourites. I think it's because it reminds me of Edward Hopper's paintings. I also like things like Starwars, Lord of the Rings, Fantasy stuff with lots of drama and special effects.

Television:

I don't watch TV programs at the same time or virtually the same time as they are broadcast. My toaster isn't a TV reciever. The ariel on the roof is not connected.

Books:

I don't really get the time to read books much these days. I like books with lots of pictures in I suppose. Saying that I do occasionally read sc-fi and fantasy novels and have enjoyed reading a number of fairly large trilogies. But I find I have to be in the right mood to get into a book and I find life is just too fast to concentrate on books. However I do a fair amount of reading on the Internet.
