Skyfall history starts in 1999 when a doom-trash metal band "Kingdom of sorrow" deside to rename themselves to "Skyfall". The reason was that most of musicians wish to play more hard and fast music. Finally, there was a breakdown in the band and a half of the musicians leave.One of the "dissenters" Alexey Gunenko later becomes a co-founder of a new band, named Rainwill (melodic death). The rest of Skyfall: Aztaroth (leader-guitar), Nocturn (rhythm-guitar) and Godless (vocal), try on the basis of processing old and creating new compositions to collect material for a demo-record.The demo was published in 2002 and got the name "The Incarnation Of My Sorrow And Rage". Irina "Steel" (violin) and Denis Leonsky (flute) also took part in the demo project. However the demo has not got a wide distribution.The band does not took part in live concerts all those times because of the absence of a drummer. In the autumn of 2002 the drummer Dmitry Paltsev (ex-Little Dead Bertha) and the bass-guitar Yuri Logvinov join the band. "Skyfall" starts the rehearsals and in the end of 2003 begins concert activity. In 2003-2004 Skyfall performes a series of concerts dividing a stage with some well known Russian black metal commands such as "Butterfly Temple", "Forgive-Me-Not", "Kruger", "Rossomahaar", etc. During those concert period the keymaster Eugene Pivovarov replaces Denis Leonsky in the band.By that time the creative process in the band leads to many transformations in the music material. It sounds now as sympho-black metal.At the height of the season in 2004 the drummer leaves the band, but fortunatly his vacant place was urgently taken by Arkady Gostenov from "Midian".In 2005-2006 the "Skyfall" has the great concerts with some well known over Europe and the world black metal bands: "Behemoth", "Neolith", "Mental Demise", "Rasta", "Ancient", "Vesania". In this period "Skyfall" totaly changes the rhythm-section. Some new members are recruited to the band. Kain (drummer) and Maxim Krokhin (bass-guitar) joined the band.At present "Skyfall" works on the material for a debut album with the draft name "Thy Velvet Majesty Dark Side". The style for this material is sympho-black metal. The debut album is coming soon!
