“Hide not your talents. They for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade.”- Benjamin Franklin I do theatre. Especially musical theatre. There is nothing I love more in life (besides my lovely supportive family, of course) than performing on a stage. I sing all the time, and I love all kinds of music --everything from DJ Shadow to Damien Rice to The Last 5 Years. I dance at Dance 101, an amazing studio I found in July. The dancers and teachers there are the most talented, devoted, and fun people I've ever met. I love writing and photography, and would like to do both journalism and theatre with my life. I go to a performing arts school where I am blessed to have an outstanding number of performance opportunities... heads up. "42nd Street" opens April 13th. It's going to be an amazing show full of tap, showtunes, and the inevitable musical "small-town-girl-attempts-to-make-it-in-the-big-apple" plot that noone can refuse. :) - It's hard waiting to see as to where my future will lead me, but I'm having a blast on the journey, enjoying the opportunities, & trying to take more risks. Like one of my close friends always tells me:"You can't win the lottery if you don't buy the ticket." ................................... **I’ve always wanted to live in the 1920s-1930s. You know what I’m talking about. Night clubs, fishnets, booze, jazz, the “flapper-strutting-on-a-smokey-stage-with-blues-music-in-t he-background”-esque atmosphere. Kind of “Chicago the Musical” meets Frankie and Dean smuggling stolen liquor in back alleys wearing black suits, pre-Technicolor television.
