Hipsterphonic

Hipsterphonic = We play what we feel like.

About Me

Conceived April 2005, Hipsterphonic consists of four starkly different musicians and personalities. The melodiously sinister rhythm section (Bassist - Scott Plescia ; Drummer/vocals - Ruman Kazi) switch instruments to bring the gloriously dark, heavy, and twisted feel from their former metal band Late Night Sneaky Uncle (Scott played guitar ; Kazi was lead vocals) to Hipsterphonic. The musicianship of this band explores regions far beyond conventional metal, rock, or hip hop with the influence of guitarist, Stu, and psychotic, at times possessed, drumming of Ruman Kazi. Sounds ranging from jazz to metal to blues and back, eminate from Stu's arsenal of his own handmade guitars. The varied musical histories of these three combine to form intriguing music that can be compared to few other bands. With lead singer, L.A., who has seen success as a rapper (The 97 Delmar), explores the full range of his vocal ability and soulful voice. L.A. is much more than a rapper, but an extremely talented vocalist. The individual characteristics and intensity of each member is what makes Hipsterphonic impossible to place into queue or general categories, as well as a visually entertaining and exciting band to see live (not to mention you could never guess what they may say between songs). The last category that this band belongs in is Rap-Rock. A comparable crime would be to turn in your hot high school teacher for agreeing to have sex with you.-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------- UPDATE------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------- We have had a lineup change recently with the addition of bassist, Paul Peters. Unlike other bass players, Paul is a legitimate player, worthy of the term 'bassist'. Paul's playing is just what we needed to keep things interesting and moving forward. Plus, he is single, so their won't be any "girlfriend issues."---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------
