frugopop

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) For about ten years, frugopop have invented original, innovative electronic music, by mixing the electro beats energy and live drums intensity. Their music is full of seventies soul nostalgia, "baggy" pop inspiration, funky grooves and punk influences. Coming from Trier in the west of Germany, the band has already released two albums: "und aber auch" and "trash_erotic_club_movie" (musenhain recordings). They performed plenty of gigs all around Germany and Luxembourg, perceived as explosive live performances. Created in 1997 by the two Architects Wenzel von Wartholm Brandauer and Gereon Blum, frugopop worked on a unique sound combining electronic instruments and analog synthesizers as well as sampling, that they mixed with acoustic instruments (rhodes-piano, guitar, bass guitar, percussions, etc.). Theire sound is intelligent, innovative and original. Titles are at the same time rocking and sensual, furious and carnal. On Stage, they have a very glamorous, high-life image, that leans towards late seventies rock chic. They are very energetic, really getting the whole audience moving at their live shows. "Electronic" in spirit and "rock and punk" at heart - that all makes you feel like dancing!
