Character: Great communication skills, willing to learn, motivated and dedicated to my craft, and I love to travel.I started indulging in music at the age of ten, raised in orangemound on New York Street in the home of the blues Memphis ,Tn.
My first song that I sang was "Practice what you preach" by Barry White in front of family but I started doing stuff through out my school career, I did Graduations, Christmas Shows, and many more.
When I first moved to Nashville in 1996 I went to Kings Lane Elementary and stayed in Kings Lane area on Sunnyveiw Avenue rapping with my homeboy Antwan from school giving out tapes of our music at school "Sunnyveiw Killas" is what we called ourselves.
Then I moved to North Nashville on McKinney Ave where I met a lot of musical influences after all that I was hooked on the music game, which is my main focus.
I moved back to Memphis,Tn in 2000 and still pursued music I stayed with my father (James Currie) at the age 15 in Raleigh (North Memphis) and went to Bellevue Middle School,and then Central High School for a minute.Mr.Del and Holy South where mentors at the time getting my life on focus and on point with "God" that's how I came up with my name GodFellow, I looked in the dictionary to see what my name meant and it means "God's Friend" and since then this name has stuck with me.
I started working with Les King a producer who understood my vision at the time, I made a few tracks on my Yamaha 270 and he re-did them and brought out the sound and tones,bassline,and everything, and I started writing songs about God and his people, spiritual rap is what I called it.
I soon move back with my mother (Katherine Pratcher) when I was16 in Orangemound (Cherokee Area). Graduated from White Station High School in 2004 and had my own studio and underground label at one point in the garage and kept until I was 18, I called my label R records and different artist that went to school with me or stayed in the neighborhood came over and laid songs down with me or I produced their songs with the help of my uncle Samuel Echols A.K.A Face, and other artists trying to do the same thing. I started to meet a whole lot of people networking, and pushing the tapes.
I stayed in Memphis doing my thing, never losing focus of what I wanted to do as a artist and all the talents I have. Face and I met Robert Jones A.K.A Gangsta Rob in 2002 and Face laid some songs with him and I stayed behind the scenes "freestyling" every now and again.
At that time I started working with my long time friend Deshaun Hoyle A.K.A Hoyle of Hoyletown Entertainment a underground label doing songs like "Mob on a Nigga" and many more songs.
Face and I both hooked up eventually; on a Gangsta Rob track and laid "Stand My Ground" which we performed at The Shell (promoted by Empire Ent.) and Club 345 with local artists Mac E, Kavious, Kinfolk Thugs, Deion Perigon, U.W.G, The Officials,TnT and many more.
With the drive and devotion that I have I am destined to make out here in the industry.
I produce, promote, and rap now, I started a movement which is called "The Independent Movement".
In the past I've promoted for (I&E/Inevitable Ent.) Mista Ian's (Club Level One), "Killer Mike" from Memphis,Tn (YO GOTTI'S I&E/INEVITABLE ENT. PROMOTER), Mr. Del(Holy South former member of "Three Six Mafia" also known as "Triple Six Mafia",Face and Gangsta Rob (Out Da Frame Production/Dynammik Production) and presently many more artist.
I joined the army as a Food Service Specialist, now 21 and currently out of the army living in Tacoma,Wa I am focusing on music.
While in the army and traveling I've pushed Dynammik Production Mix Cd Vol.1 in:
Memphis,Tn,Nashville, Tn, Richmond/Petersburg/Virginia Beach, Virginia,Chicago, Detroit, The State of Washington,Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and many more places.
No longer with my former label (Out Da Frame/Dynammik Production) I have ventured off to pursue a greater focus in my career and with new songs to be released under the label we are working out minor differences.
