Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan his passion for music was nurtured from a young age by his involvement in the church choir, gospel music, creative writing and session work as composer, music producer. Not one to rest on his laurels, he is a much sought after background vocalist also... He has written, produced and arranged songs for gospel artist Michelle Flowers, Penny Ford (the voice on SNAP's "I've Got The Power") as well as songs for his musical mentor Val Young (Rick James protégé who is best known for her appearance on 2Pac's hit song "To Live & Die In L.A."). He cites Val Young as one of his biggest musical influences. "Val Young is an amazing singer/songwriter and one day the rest of the world will take notice... She's my Queen of Soul.." I've been influenced by alot of old school artists like; Rick James, The Doobie Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Michael Franks, The O'Jays, Gladys Knight, The Gap Band, Foreigner, Aretha Franklin and Earth, Wind & Fire. I listen to a little bit of everything. I love the funk/soul 70's-80’s era; the music today everything is so cluttered, you don't get that freshness, that soulful vibe.Currently working on his debut album "Naked, I Came..." and will feature westcoast rapper Yo-Yo on "More Than Just A Pretty Face" and a special guest appearence from songstress Val "Lady V" Young on the duet "Love Will Come Again".“This album will represent who I am and experiences I've gone through from first loves to heartbreaks, feeling vulnerable to strong and confident, the different story lines, the moods.
