About Me

Fresh New Hip-Hop outfit from the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
The Contrast formed early in Febuary 2006, initially doing three song spots in open mic nights in thornbury but quickly pulled together enough songs to hit the live scene and by May 2006 had develloped something of a cult following at their fortnightly residence at Bender Bar in High Street Thornbury. The first recording, (a three track disc of the songs above, released in Early August) sold out before the the guys were off stage during the first gig they were available at, once again highlighting that the crew are in high demand amongst their fans.
The Contrast are currently about to record a couple more tracks, so stay tuned to this page to hear them soon. And so as 2006 comes to an end, We'd like to wish you all a happy new year and all the best for 2007.

Influences: Each member has their own set of influences and each of these influences seem to make their was into the setlists both musically and lyrically.Also a big shout out to everyone we've played with/worked with in our short time on the Scene

Sounds Like: Australian Hip-Hop, Hilltop Hoods, Koolism etc.... mixed with a little bit of Psi-Trance and Trip-Hop. Probably the most accurate discription... The Contrast sound like The Contrast
