Dyzlexic CM was born in Darwin Hospital and lived on a farm in Howard Springs, NT until the age of nine when his family moved to Canberra. He spent his teenage years swimming, riding and running. He was captain of the school swim team and represented the ACT twice at the Secondary Schools Nationals for triathlon. It was an early interest in endurance sports that spawned his love of rhythm.
Upon finishing year 12 he turned to writing, another of his life’s passions. It took a mate to rap him his own poem before he realized he wanted to rap seriously. He soon grew bored and disgruntled with Canberra and its pokie filled vacuums of human life known as their pubs. Hence a move to Melbourne beckoned.
Fast forward three years and now DYZLEXIC has began to climb the rungs of the musical ladder. With such a rich tapestry of talent in the Oz hiphop scene it is hard to find MCs that truly stand out. This is mind DYZLEXIC has set out to create his own style of flow and lyricism. He is a founding member of Melbourne crew TRS and funk/metal band Sons of Some. He can also be seen hosting the End of the Line parties held in Frankston as well as nights featuring the High Society.
