During our beginnings, there were 12 supporters who used to chat about a certain soccer team 3,500 miles away. After a year and a half FulhamUSA has grown to over 2,500 people. FulhamUSA started off in September of 2004 as a whisper on the Internet, in order to find out what kind response we would get from the fans. After about 2 months we discovered that Fulham is more popular in the U.S. than first thought and our next step was to start a web site, now known as FulhamUSA.com.
The goals set for this newly founded venture are two-fold. Our first objective is to bring together every American and Canadian together in order to share our common passion, Fulham Football Club. Our second goal is to really bridge the gap between the U.S. fans, which can only catch a glimpse of the action every couple of weeks, and the local Fulham faithful who have all the action at their fingertips. Currently our fans have contacted us from New York to Los Angeles and from parts of Canada to Chicago . In addition, there have been some local England fans who have shown interest in helping us get this off the ground.
There is no cost or membership fee to join FulhamUSA. Plans for the future of FulhamUSA include a possible sponsoring of a player, trips to the Cottage and the weekly emails I have and will continue to send to members.
