I've been singing for about 6yrs now. It started out as just a hobby, something I did for fun. But now it has evolved into my passion! I am a singer/songwriter who likes to "croon". I am a solo artist just trying to make it one day at a time. I get my inspirations from a variety of sources; the club, the streets, the sky, my car, or just looking at the love of my life. I was born in a small town in Illinois and only sang in the church choir. I remember being about 7 or 8 and my Uncle, "The Rev.", would have me up late at night listening to the blues or his old jazz cuts. I've always seem to have a natural talent for music but didn't really fall in love w/ it til I was older. Often times I hear how I have a style all my own. Then, other times I hear that I'm just "weird"! That usually comes after people find out about my love for bats. I JUST LOVE BATS!!! They are survivors...just like me. People just aren't up on game about how great bats are for us. Anyway, with each and every song I sing, whether it's mine or some random cover, I feel it "in my soul". Singing is where my comfort zone is. I have a love and respect for all music: hip hop, r&b, country, gospel, jazz, rock...and the list goes on! Music allows me to feel free. It's so easy for me to lose myself in a song. I'm currently working on my debut album and should have the demo out by Christmas. I'm ALWAYS looking for beats (hip hop or r&b). I also do b/g vox and studio work, if you're hiring!!! Even though my music makes me feel so good, what's most satisfying to me is when I share my music with others and the love they give me in return. That's the shit! That's what it's really about!
