Lucra skateboards was given birth in the new year of 2004 by two skateboarders who realised by having sex with each other resulted in the birth of a plank of wood. This gave them the chance to experiment with printing their own boards and soon to realise a skateboard company was within their grasp. But after an arduous divorce between the couple over a tin of spam’s taste the two went their separate ways. But you’ll be glad to hear that Lucra skateboards still continue with the same outlook today, to look at skateboarding in a comical way and to bring humour and fun into everyday skateboarding. CARL VANCE:Carl has been in the skate industry for some years now, note the wrinkles around his eyes. He is known by his friends for enjoying the healthy benefits of alcohol and socializing. VOYTEK SMITH:Wojtek, (pronounced voytek or Voi) acquired his strange 1st name from the land of Poland where he was born; on the other hand his slightly more traditional surname came from…. Poland. Voi is an extremely credible individual, with enough brain power and intelligence to fuel an army of rocket scientists, his intellect spills out of control in a manner of humorous ways. This man is at the heart of many incredible stories (getting run over outside his house, then head butting the car and trying to kill the driver) and many wonderful and crazy feats on a skateboard. Constantly in his own world, Wojtek is often mis-understood as a crazed psycho, those who know him will tell you, this psycho’s well worth knowing

JACK ROWLES:When you meet Jack, I think you’ll agree his involvement in sports has helped him retain his youthful looks. His athleticism has also earned him a fair amount of pop, with the ability to spring into action with concrete giving him a trampoline like effect. Despite appearances and extreme regional accent, Jack in fact, is not actually inbred. His parents are from two totally unrelated families. A rarity in his hometown of Midsomer Norton and this is perhaps the key element to his unique persona!

TIM CRAWLEY(CLOTHING):Having left his incestuous roots behind to study digital media in Bristol and work part time in the bar of Bristol’s watershed media centre, Tim has become a real fashion faggot. We only hook him up because he lets us stay at his house in Bristol and he can use then wrong end of a board, which people seem to think is acceptable these days. Having stayed at his house, and observed him reduce it to ruins by playing the wrong music after a night out, we gave him a bit of respect. Nice to see he didn’t leave everything behind. He might even be coming back home, as I found him in tears at Lloyds only the other day; he told me he couldn’t keep up with the kids anymore and felt like a “gyppo”.
