Influences: I been through it all
From the hip to the hippitty hip hop to the nowadays bling sound, I heard it all. I was here with Grandmaster Flash, Stetsasonic, Whodini, X-Clan, LL, Run Dmc, Rakim, Krs One, P.E., De La, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Smooth and Nice, Black Sheep, Nwa, Ice-T, Ice Cube, Onyx, Black Moon, Big L (rip), Hyeroglyphics, Biggie, Nas, Wu, Mobb, Common, Mos, Dmx, Missy, 50... you name it I got vinyls, tapes and cds, betas, vhss and dvds my influences go from everything I heard and liked on the hip hop side, to the things that we got used to sampling: soul, funk, jazz, rare groove, reggae, easy listening, etc. I go everywhere with my sound. It all depends of the mood Im in. I can go from making an eerie sounding dark track to a super positively happy what a nice day to be living sounding one. And I dont descriminate I sample everything at reach to translate my spiritual frequency into musical sounds. If it sounds good I also try not to put anything between having an idea and putting it to waves or words. I try to ban any kind of prejudice or misconceptions or rules from the equation in my creative process. Freedom of thought, creative freedom. Art, for me, is supposed to be our passport to higher levels of human existence.
Everything and everyone that surrounds me has some kind of influence on what I do and how I express my creativity. Any kind of experience I might have gone through, any book I read, movie I seen, people I spoke to...
so here goes a kind of toplist of my favourite books, movies and records. at least the ones I managed to put my braincells remembering about.
