A brief history of my musical life:
Psycho Wreck 1992/3: IAIN DILLEY - Vocals, LOZ - Guitar, GAZ BENT, - Guitar, STUMPY - Bass. Dilley, or 'Fang Sabre' as he was known way back when, played with Nottingham Glam Gods 'DEUCE'. He also fronted a band by the name of 'APB'. - No idea what else Loz & Brillo did, but apparently Brillo is now living a hermits life on a remote scottish island?! Gaz Bent also went on to play with a Leicester band called 'FBI' - I believe these were more rock/funk/dub/fusion type outfit, I remember they played at the Abbey Park Festival back in the early 90's.......'MOSH BABY' 1993 - STUMPY - VOCALS, SKELLY - GUITAR & PROGRAMMING, RICHARD - GUITAR, MIKE - BASS. - Industrial Gothic tinged Metal, way ahead of it's time. Great reviews locally, split due to band members moving out of the area.......... Then I moved onto Leicester legends 'GRUMBLE GRINDER'. 1993/95 - STUMPY - VOCALS, TITCH - GUITAR (EX-WELL PHEAD), TEZ - DRUMS, COLIN - BASS (EX-HAWKWIND ROADIE), Known throughout Leicester's rock/punk scene, 'GRUMBLE GRINDER' were a bunch of drunken, noisy, fucked up individuals who played a glorius beer fuelled racket!!! - They released a EP just before I joined, called 'HE'S A MONSTER AND HE HAS MY KISS'. I remember my debut at the Abbey Park Festival in Leicester, I was 19, drunk, I didn't know the words to hardly any of the songs, so I just made them up and screamed my way through it! - I remember throwing a copy of the EP into the crowd and it hit the original singer square in the face, I think he thought it was something personal?! An excellent crowd pleaser was a cover of GILLAN'S 'NEW ORLEANS' - The follow up 'demo' called 'WHEN IT GUZ IN' was recorded and mixed at 'STAYFREE' studios, by KEV REVERB of 'CRAZYHEAD' (remember 'HAVE LOVE WILL TRAVEL'??). - We toured all over the UK, and split when the drummer moved to Scotland with his wife and kids. - .........After a few years break (and liver transplant), I joined STUART CARTER with a resurrected 'HEROIN', simply called 'HEROIN A.D.' 2001/02 - STUMPY - VOCALS, TITCH - BASS (EX - GRUMBLE GRINDER), STUART CARTER - GUITAR & PROGRAMMING, (previously known as HEROIN who released 2 albums, 'LIKE A GLOWING BALL OF LIGHT' - I think this was around 1989 - then 'ART IS......MURDER. 1991, I think), We recorded a self titled demo and then toured in September 2002 with gothic lords 'MIDNIGHT CONFIGURATION' fronted by 'NIGHTBREED RECORDS' owner 'TREVOR BAMFORD', on the tour also was gothic metal titans 'PROJEKT' who are now well on their way to becoming one of the UK's best in their genre.......GOAT THRONE/VOSS 2002-2003, STUMPY - VOCALS, STEVE WATSON - GUITAR, JAY GRAHAM - DRUMS. Bedroom Black Metal! With STEVE WATSON (EX-IRON MONKEY/HELVIS) and JAY GRAHAM (EX-SKYCLAD/UNDERGROOVE) We went under the 2 different names for this, a few home recordings saw the light of day. JAY & STEVE now play with 'RAVENS CREED' with members of 'ORANGE GOBLIN'..........In 2001 I started a solo project entitled 'CREATED WITH KNIVES' to some interest. 'DARKEST AMBIENT HORROR SOUNDSCAPES' if you wish to describe it! - This is still on-going. Go to www.createdwithknives.com for further information. A CD was self financed and released in 2002, called 'SONGS TO............' - TAKEN BY WOLVES 2004 to PRESENT DAY. STUMPY - VOCALS, STEVE WATSON (EX-IRON MONKEY/HELVIS), STUART TOOLIN (EX-PITCH SHIFTER). Our first and only gig to date was in June 2005, supporting SWEDISH BRUTAL DEATH METAL BAND 'INSISION' (EARACHE RECORDS) as part of their UK tour at the legendary ROCK CITY, NOTTINGHAM. STEVE WATSON left the band soon after this gig. All plans on hold for the immediate future for TAKEN BY WOLVES. I have met Rollins on a few occasions and he signed my books......Lemmy and Phil Taylor.....Carol Vorderman on a beach in Brighton.....the whole of Y&T whilst dressed in a black robe and corpse paint and proceeded to sing 'Open Fire' to Dave Meniketti.....had a brief chat with Tom (Warrior) Fischer from Celtic Frost, whilst waiting for a tram in Nottingham, seemed like a nice man......Jonathan Davies from Korn gave me a hug and told me 'it's ok' - whatever that meant?.....Nibbs from Saxon gave me champagne at 6 in the morning at Wacken in 2001.......Michael Weikath from Helloween ignored me so I asked him what it was like to play in Hammerfall...... In 1989 I asked Chuck Billy what it was like to play in Slayer thinking he was Tom Araya.......It's all a bunch of arse! I would like to meet the person who invented Rennies, an Alien and my extended family in the Philippines. Sharing a case of red with Keith Floyd would be interesting, although if I met Jamie Oliver I'd twat him and tell him that he is a shit cook and up his own arse, however, Bordeaux to Marseilles on the canal, cooking with Rick Stein would be a treat, followed by a course in cooking placenta with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to round things off. - Gastronomy heaven!!! I'd like to meet and cook in Gordon Ramsey's kitchen stark bollock naked swearing my face off with talk of stuffing an 18 pound bird and asking what concoction he likes to rub on his fattened cock to give it that special taste after 3 hours on a low heat in an 150 year old wood burning agar.

I've been going in and out of phases for years, currently listening to a lot of Mike Patton, Jesu, Whitesnake, Krux, Genesis, Bill Laswell, lots of spoken word, usually Rollins, but have got right into Radio 4's 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' which is great.
