Well, first things first, my name is Melanie. I love to sing and am a soprano and loving it. I have had no training, so I know I tend to go off key on occasion, and that I have a long way to go. But I thought I might as well share my voice with you all and get some critiquing as it seems I will not be able to take lessons for a couple of years, at least. I started singing around age thirteen with my friend Emily but only truly have fallen in love with it in the past year and a half. I hope you enjoy what you hear, and if you don't, PLEASE let me know what I can do better. A quick thing on my songs. Part of Your World of course is from The Little Mermaid. Due to a bad mic and a bad cold, it sounds a little nasal, and I apologize. Thank you Jaenelle Antas for the use of your backing track supplies. Traft ihr das Schiff is the aria from act two of my favorite opera ever, and I decided to give it a shot. Considering it's quite challenging I am pretty proud of how it came out. I'm not claiming to be an opera singer or anything though, so please don't eat me if you hate it. Phantom of the Opera is of course from the musical with the same title. I sing both parts and feel better about the male part, surprisingly enough. Forgive the quality again, both in the mic and my sickness. Again, thank you Jae.
