I'm Sam Amos and I am currently living in Sierre, Switzerland. I picked up my first set of drumsticks at the age of 3(though they looked more like spoons, and the drums looked more like my mother's pots and pans), and for 27 years haven't set them down.The beat has been a part of me ever since I can remember and I can't imagine life without it. In 1996 I recorded my first album in my hometown with the band Staff. Over the next 8 years we made 2 more albums, working with producer Dave Richards (Queen, Iggy Pop, David Bowie).In 2005 I joined the band Crystal Dusk, and found success with producer Lea Hart (Motorhead, Fast Way) and mixer Nick Smith (Sting). After recording at Parkgate Studio in Battle, England, we went on tour, playing to crowds all over Europe (Swizerland, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, etc.), playing with varied artists including Bruce Kulick of Kiss.Having reached a creative standstill with Crystal Dusk, we went our seperate ways.I am now looking to broaden my experience and improve my skills. Having spent time learning and growing with a number of different bands, I have really come to appreciate the value of the creative influence of
diverse musical styles.With that in mind, I am hoping to soon find a band which, through both live and studio sessions, will allow me to continue to develop and grow both musically and as an individual._________________________________________________
