Cellist Lucas Shogren has been a distinguished performer in many musical venues across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and Europe. Trained Classically he has performed as concert soloist with orchestras and orchestral and chamber musician. Currently Shogren is the cellist of the Völs String Quartet , which has appeared throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. As an orchestral musician he has collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra , Minnesota Orchestra , and Detroit Symphony Orchestra , to name a few.Although trained classically, that is not where it stops. Shogren strives to explore new roads in music and has performed concerts with many recognized bands locally and nationally. Shogren has been seen on stages with acts such as Odyc , Ari Herstand , Jenny Dalton , Brian David , The Great Upset , This World Fair , Jake Dilley and the Color Pharmacy , the late Ray Charles , and many others.As a Studio Musician, Shogren has composed, arranged, improvised, and performed on many projects. He has done projects that range from a full-length rock album to a soundtrack to a movie. His ease of composing and arranging comes from his years of formal training with music theory and his long time experience on stage. He can be heard on many different record labels including: Jacks Music Lab Records, Proud Honeybee Records, Tribute Sounds, and GSP records, among others.Shogren strives to explore new musical roads and enjoys learning and performing different styles of music. He is committed to bringing the highest quality of music to everything he adds and his main goal as a cellist is to bring out the best in every work.
