Don't ever ask "what else can possibly happen?"...

About Me

California native of 30 years. MD/VA resident for 16 years. Now giving Charlotte, NC a try. My whole family was born in Massachusetts. They moved to California before I was born. It's my Karma to live my life on the East Coast.
Anyone in the country that has the same last name as mine is a relative.
I used to do lots of computer security seminars in my former career. I've presented full-day tutorials on computer and network security in over 11 different countries on six continents.

My Interests

International Travel, Foreign and historic cultures, Numismatics, Amateur Astronomy, Tech Gadgets - but not gaming, Renaissance Festivals. I've also done some scuba diving (Australia, Tahiti, St. Lucia), but I'm not a certified diver.

I'd like to meet:

President Jimmy Carter

Music:

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Pyrates Royale, IZ, Gwen Stefani, some Shania, some Faith Hill (older stuff), mid-career Madonna, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Letters to Cleo. Pretty much any cute female artist with a soft voice. Mostly pop, rock, or country (country? me?, who'd have thunk it!). Play country songs backwards - you get your girl back, your dog back, and your booze back!

Movies:

p.s. I Love You, The Terminal, Titanic, the Harry Potter movies, Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean, The DaVinci Code, Sneakers, The Island, Master and Commander, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I pretty much like movies where stuff blows up; but a good adventure or romance can be fun too! I'll watch anything with Hillary Swank, Scarlett Johansson, Milla Jovovich, Audrey Tautou, or Angelina Jolie.

Television:

Weeds (enough with the Starbucks product-placement already!), Sci-Fi Channel, Firefly (cancelled), National Geographic specials, fast-paced police reality shows, and for some strange reason - PBR bull riding !

Books:

The Soul of a New Machine, The Puzzle Palace, Underground (I'm actualy IN this book!), Crypto. Basically, non-fiction, technical related, boring stuff.

Heroes:

My brothers, my lovely wife.
