THA PAST:
Buffoon is PI and his music. Pi is just a guy, gifted with the great spirit of music. Always creating and never resting in his search for a new song. While the songs are created by a single brain, the music is performed by a real band. NIELS ( Fence , The Shovels ) helped Pi recording his songs on a 4-track at home, playing guitars, drums and bass. A first full demo-CD was born: "Sweet Sheets". LIEVEN ( Fence ) joined the band on drums, bass, guitar & vocals after designing the cover of “Sweet Sheets”. The trio was completed in 2000 by bashmaister DAVE ( Millionaire , Creature With The Atom Brain ) on drums. Then, Pi made a second lofi-demo “Moonrain”. Meanwhile, Buffoon recorded ‘Major Tom’ as a band, and released it as a vinyl-split-single with the best Dutch band ever, Voicst . The sound was bigger and better than ever. The band did about 30 gigs over the period 1999-2004; competition driving the band into the finals of Debuutrock 2001 and the semi-finals of the Rock Rally 2004.

After that, the band took a break, concentrating on other projects. Pi returned to the scene in 2006 with a brand new demo. Lieven decided to leave and MIMI joined the band on bass. After a few months of rehearsing, the band was ready to hit the stage!
