In the late nineties a Koen, Raimond and Barry started making noisy punksongs/ punknoise in a local rehearsal room. After only a short time Bram and Niels joined the band. From that moment the band was called Banished Bastards. This was the line up then: Koen/drums, Raimond/guitar Barry/screaming, Bram/bass, Niels/guitar+screaming Bram left the band after a short period. The other members talked about what they were going to do without a bass-player. They decided to change their line-up, Barry grabbed the bass and Niels gave up his guitar.
In January 1998 the band's name changed in Angry Minded. That year they appeared on 3 comp. tapes: REVOLT III, AKO OCES IMAT SCENU and OPEN THE CAGES. In June 1999 they released their first demo-tape called HE SUCKER, I'M GONNA PLAY YOUR BRAINS OUT!. In December 1999 they co-released a split-tape together with ULRIKE'S DREAM with live recordings earlier that year from both bands. In October 2000 they were asked to appear on a 3-way CD with BOB'S BIZARRE BAZAAR and the BLOODSUCKERS. This CD finally was released in June 2001. During those three years the sound evolved from punknoise to a mix of crust/punk/grindcore with a noisy touch. In October 2001 Niels decided to quit the band. Barry, Raimond and Koen chose to continue the freakcore. The line-up merely changed, but all members had vocal ambitions. line-up at that time: Koen/drums and screams, Raimond/guitar and screams, Barry/bass, screams
Angry minded continued the freakcore for three more years. Again the music evolved, it became more hardcore/grindcore orientated. In those three years they released a split ep with LD'50 named Freakcore Inferno (released by REVOLT RECORDS and FOLKLORE RECORDS), appeared on "Kelderpop" the cd, did a lot of gigs and had a lot of fun. Some of the recorded stuff from those days has just recently been released.
In June 2004 Barry went to India for a study project and returned in January 2005. In the mean time Raimond and Koen experimented with styles searching for a new flow to refresh their freakcore sound. After Barry's return he joined in the experimental rehearsal sessions and the three of them created an improved sound.
Fed up with their name and rehearsal location, longing for something different, the guys changed location. The name changed into TRIAD 81 (November 2005), because the music changed so much it needed a new name.
