or better form.This controversial word spawns heated discussion around many circles, culling differing
viewpoints from the many coins that are tossed regarding the word itself. But semantics
aside, the word "evolution" is perhaps the most apt description for a band like A Dawn
Within.Starting in 2002 as a doom/death project with a male growler and a female singer and then subsequently becoming faster and more technical causing over half of the band to secede, A Dawn Within continued on with Mike LeMoine's musical vision and drummer Jeremy Schmitt's drive looking for people better suited for the new direction in 2005. Terry Walsdorf joined, adding a counterpoint to Mike's writing with added synths and new ideas. In 2006 Josh Munnik and Luke Edseth joined, rounding out the lineup. Shortly thereafter the ADW2.0 demo was recorded with the new lineup, and the result has been posted on this profile.During the rest of the year, the band went through many tests. At the end of Summer 2007, Jeremy parted ways with A Dawn Within. As a result, the remaining members decided to re-evaluate the direction of the band and on what level it was to exist. Deciding on a more laid-back approach, the four members agreed to stop chasing after others' expectations and do A Dawn Within for themselves. New responsibilities and new challenges being faced, A Dawn Within shall stand prepared to show where their particular road of evolution has taken them...
