About Me

Formed in the late nineties amidst the Clinton administration Intogreen was a perfect example of spoiled rotten. Music at the time was changing and people were open to new sounds. Unaware, three friends from Long Island jammed in a basement in Bayshore New York fusing together a sound influenced by the best of the post grunge era. The drummer of Crossfade a well known death metal band of the time, Eric Rhodes took the raw song writing of Billy G and started to polish the stage show and mind set that would become Intogreen. With life long friend Steve Little only starting to play bass at 20 years old, the stage was set. With no rules or ties to any style of music, Intogreen quickly became the talk of the Long Island band scene. Mixing reggae, punk, and hard edge metal, their sound was unique and did not restrict them from any venue or show, forging their own sound and reputation. With major record label interest the band tried line-up changes, but after combining sex, drugs, and rock-an-roll, Intogreen disbanded in 2000 never capturing the allure it had with its original members.
In 2004 Intogreen was to reunite with all founding members in place. Working with the collective material of Bill and Steve no time was wasted in starting a new record. EP 2005 was recorded in a house on Long Island attempting to capture what was lost. Successful in doing so, the band played local shows and re-established a fan base and their signature stage show. Writing at least ten more songs and taking some old work, Intogreen hit a Manhattan studio in 2006 recording 17 new tracks.
Upon the completion of the drum tracks the untimely death of drummer and co-founder E. Rhodes created another mountain for the band to climb, leaving the bands best work yet to be completed. Devastated, the band feels the work should be finished out of love and respect for its lost member and mentor.
The memory of our brother Eric only fuels the fire which he helped create MyGen Profile Generator Stand by Me
