Live, love, smile in the moment--family is paramount to all...

About Me

I think I'm very intelligent, unique and unorthodox. I'm independent, open-minded, outspoken and ambitious. I'm an overachiever. I try everyday to build upon and achieve a voracious appetite for humor, spiced with plenty of sarcasm--something of which I need more of in my life. I need to learn to "chill" and not be so serious all the time. I'm goofy. I say and do silly things. I have a 6-year old son Tyler, whom I love dearly. My family and friends are the most important thing to me in my life. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, overly-organized and neat. I read a lot of books and love to write. I know a bunch of useless but cool factoids about all kinds of stuff. Im a self-confessed geek/dork. I'm not a big fan of religion--I'm an atheist. Religious people do not bother me--it's only the ones who try to shove it down your throat! I believe in evolution. I don't believe in an afterlife or reincarnation. I'm not an activist--those are just my beliefs. And don't assume I'm anti-religious just because I'm an atheist. I guess that's all for now.

My Interests

Pretty much everything! Spending time with family and friends, writing, reading, spending time online, my iPod, poetry (mostly writing), art, collecting books/DVDs, video games, RPGs, chess, science in general, philosophy (of religion mostly), intellectual conversations and debates, the movies, dining out, traveling, hiking, camping, the beach, playing acoustic guitar (I try to anyhow!), scuba diving (even though it's been several years since I last went!)...

I love taking pictures of nature...

I'd like to meet:

Someone open-minded, intelligent and with a good sense of humor. Someone perpetually curious, whose hunger for knowledge is never satiated. Someone always seeking to improve both relationship with self and others. Someone who enjoys meaningful conversations and is emotionally perceptive. Someone with creativity, imagination and who shares similar interests as me. The most important thing, however, is that it’s someone with whom I can get along naturally and have fun. FUN, FUN, FUN! Spontaneity and creativity catalyze the fun component of love's myriad chemical reactions. And, being a chemist, I’m quite proficient in that respect, and, being cool (ummm…oh, yeah, that part comes from my name), I could quell the reaction—cool it down if it gets too hot and out of control! Was that cheesy? Yes. Creative? Perhaps. An effective pick-up line? No!

Right now, however, I'm trying to focus more on myself before I get into any sort of serious relationship.
