Behind the Beheaded
Behind the Music
Deep from the realms of country and bluegrass will emerge a beautiful tragedy known as "behind the beheaded". Six very different people yet very much alike, will be called upon by fate to fulfill a destiny to bring hope to a place where there is a hopelessness(at least when it comes to heavy metal). The band features Mr. Rob Ryker on guitar, as well as Mr. Randall Williams. The amazing Chicken on bass, Richard (the machine) Rogers on drums. With last but not least the dual lead vocal onslaught of Johnny Martin and Chris May. Doing what they do for the love of music and the smiles in the crowd accompanied with howls, screams and the always great yeahs and woos. With an influence list to long to name everything I will give you a few genre influences. Their sound is spawned from an extreme blend of. Prog rock, blues, southern rock, jazz, death metal, black metal, your classic heavy metal and even a little funk. There is a underlying theme that goes along with their name as well. Think of the "beheaded" as former bands that the members have come from. Just to name a few: Reign of Heresy, Rooker Assassins, and Destroying Angel. Now the "behind" the beheaded is the new band; the super group as it were. The band as had a good deal of gigs under their belt in the short two years that they have been together. They have traveled to Detroit to take place in a battle of the bands that many believe to be rigged. They have opened for National touring bands such as Human Fuse, Straight Line Stitch and Goatwhore. I have lost count of local and semi-local shows. One thing is for sure they will play just as hard for one person in the crowd as they would for one million. They aim to never disappoint. Of course there are always people who may not like their music. I can only say to each their own. "Behind the Beheaded" will always be their for their fans no matter what. They know what it is like to be on the other side of the stage looking up with hope in their eyes that one day maybe they could reach somebody with their music. And hopefully affect them in a positive way. "Behind the Beheaded " will continue to bring gorgeous brutality to those surrounded by music that neither connects nor speaks to their soul.
