MyGen Profile Generator Chimera Music was born in August 6th, 2005 after its webmaster (Silent Raven) decided that his ideas for the music section of another website were worth a whole website.This website was thought as a way to share the music Silent Raven likes but after the first days of Chimera's online status, the idea turned into a way to promote bands that are not too known or not known at all and have the quality and potential to enchant the ears of gothic and alternative communities.Chimera Music is NOT a metal website, nor an Indie website, it's a place for many kinds of music where metal, indie, electro, new age, darkwave, rock and some other genres are allowed. Its name makes reference to this in a symbolical way. The snake in the Chimera represents all the dark music (gothic, symphonic and doom metal, progressive music, darkwave, electrogoth, etc), the lion represents the agresiveness/heaviness of some genres and the particularity of bands to experiment and get a new sound with each new record without losing their essence. Last but not least, the goat refers to the lightest side of this website, the side where all the indie and soft rock musicians are included.The main goal of this website is to spread the word about music, good music, so if you've got a band alike those that are constantly presented on Chimera Music, feel free to write us a message and we'll include you as soon as the website is updated.
