This Space Intentionally Left Blank

About Me

My name is Davis

I'm just a slacker trying to make it through life with my sanity intact. I got nowhere to be, nothing to do, and plenty of time on my hands. I'm a boredom-driven philosopher but too laid back to take it seriously. I'm a hero on the half-shell who's more than meets the eye and I'm well aware that knowing is half the battle, so go, Joe, and while you're out pick me up a sammich. I never judge a book by it's cover while it's burning because at that point it's the most valuable book in the world and worth pulling out of the flames. Your mom would like me. Tell all your friends to vote, no matter how dumb their values may seem to you--we can make or break this country and I don't see us doing a whole lotta making. The longer I sit here, the longer this gets. Wonder how it will end. I'm not talking about the profile anymore, I don't think. It's always time for a change of pace--it's what keeps things real. Really. I'm an extemporaneous excommunicated ex-con eschewing ersatz expressions while embracing alliteration enough to expand this expose. Somewhere in here we begin to mourn the death of the paragraph. I started this blurb with nothing to say.

I'd say I've done the job.

-----+-----+-----+-----

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.

If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.

My Interests

All of it. Except for the boring bits. Specifically: sex, drugs, rock (and roll), food, friends, family, freedom of speech, japanese people and the things they eat, video games, sports, spelunking, the natural world and the things we find in it, the urban jungle and all it's glories, paganism, other isms that are less dangerous than those isms and ists that we all know and loathe, art, drawing, comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, random photoshop attacks, kilts, fun with cardboard, food, being as geeky as I wanna be, being as geeky as you wish you could be in front of your lame friends, music, music, music, singing, being on stage yelling at a hundred screaming fans, making music, howling at the top of my lungs in the car while you laugh at me from your shiny new beetle. Some other things, too, I imagine.

I'd like to meet:

Mostly I'm looking to network with current friends, get back in touch with old friends, and make some new ones along the way. Basically, if you have a brain in your head capable of intelligent conversation we'll get along just fine. No, I don't want to see your webcam. No, I won't pad your already impressive friends list full of people you don't know. No, I don't want to buy your crappy get-rich how-to book. No, I'm not interested in a naughty tryst between myself, a slutty nurse, a desperate housewife, a curious cheerleader, and a pierced and tattooed punk girl.

Wait. What was the question? Can I change my answer?

Music:

Give me your hard thumping pulse pounding hard-rock. The rock that pushes the energy envelope without destroying the music. The rock that carries you away in a symphonic sea of power and bass while the vocalist tells you about your soul at the top of his lungs.
Give me your classic punk-rock. Give me a socially and politically motivated musician with little care for tonal quality. Teach me the folly of society in clever rhyme. Play satire to the human race for me with snappy lyrics and the simplest of guitar chords.
Give me your soul moving funk, with heavy tones and a beat I can groove to. Seduce the audience into a sweaty dance that borders on sex.

Movies:

If it's not porn, it's crap. Seriously. All the movies I see promise one thing and then either fail to deliver or botch the presentation of the delivery. Porn, on the other hand, makes no pretenses and gives you exactly what you ordered. I'm not entirely without favorite movies, of course, but I'm certainly not please with what Hollywood has done with itself.

Television:

Lost. Watch it. ABC Wednesday, 9pm EST.

Books:

Stranger in a Strange Land, or anything else by Heinlein. That man was ahead of his time, and way ahead of ours.

Heroes:
