I am a professional makeup artist in the Raleigh North Carolina area, offering services for weddings, special events, fashion/glamour, runway, commercial/print ads, and television to name a few. I do travel when necessary, although depending on the circumstances (primarily distance) require adequate compensation for doing so. Schedule permitting, I will also work some TFP/TFCD shoots so please don't hesitate to contact me for those purposes even though I cannot guarantee availability. My rates do vary according to the circumstances and the services desired however they are very reasonable and always negotiable.
For specific rate quotes please message me via myspace.com or email me directly by following the link above.
Other than that, I am always looking to meet and network with other makeup artists and photographers so please don't hesitate to message me for those purposes!

My Interests

Makeup (obviously)...I also thoroughly enjoy photography and have for some time - I just recently shot my first wedding. I find photography an amazing art form with its versatility in artistic expression and interpretation.
I LOVE meeting and networking with other individuals in this industry...even just searching through myspace I come across so many talented photographers and makeup artists, not to mention beautiful models - it is impossible not to be impressed by a large bulk of their work...Meeting other individuals in the feild has many other benefits too, although I am not sure that many share my same viws on that subject. Admittedly, I am "new" to the competitive freelance industry, but one of the most rewarding parts of this industry is learning from other individuals with in it, especially those experience and talented individuals who are so enthusiastic about offering their advice, support etc...SO MANY PEOPLE have not only been amazingly helpful and loyal to me, but even more have gone out of there way to assist me in building a "name" for myself in this area - even more amazing is that many of those individuals have been fellow makeup artists in this area. You can probably imagine the number of referrals I can offer even if I am unable to make it to a job :)

I'd like to meet:

Oprah, Kevyn Aucoin, Elton John, Madonna and Mickey Mantle
"Over the years...I experimented with every look imaginable. Through it all...I learned not to be afraid of taking changes (and in the process I learned how to do makeup). [I] had no real teachers, only photographs from fashion magazines...Learning to do makeup through trial and error taught me that my 'mistakes' were often excited revelations. I came to realize that rules and words like 'never' and 'always' were (and are) sure death for creativity. And while I believe that education is very important, I am grateful for my lack of formal training in makeup. The journey itself may havae taken longer but along the way I discovered things I could not have been 'taught.' For me, new and exciting ideas are most often created when chances are taken and rules are broken" ~Kevyn Aucoin

NEW WORK AS OF OCTOBER 18th:

TFP/TFCD Policy:

As my schedule is filling up quickly, my availability to book any TFP/TFCD shoots is severely limited. In general, I will only be committing to TFP/TFCD shoots after last minute cancellation of shoots I already have scheduled (although there are exceptions so do not hesitate to contact me to double check - timeline for doing so addressed below). As a result, I am withholding commitment to ALL TFP/TFCD shoots until 1 week before the proposed shoot dates for all TFP/TFCD inquiries. I do appreciate the interest, but please do not contact me to inquire about availability for TFP/TFCD purposes until, again, one week before the shoot date as I will be unable to commit until that time. (I do have several MUAs I could refer you to if you would like to contact me for their information if you would like to contact them for TFP/TFCD purposes)
