About Me

Better SEX EDUCATION now!
I really think the demystification of the body is important. We're taught from a very young age to be ashamed of our bodies, and instead we should be taught to be proud of them. I think Sex Education is really about taking control of our bodies and treating them with respect - and that means protecting them from disease and physical harm. Young girls especially really need the encouragement to take control to protect themselves and their bodies (against rape, abuse, etc), and also the confidence to love themselves and to demand respect for their bodies - both self respect and respect by anyone who they are sexually engaged with. What could be more empowering then that? I only wish the education system thought more like us...
Because no one should have to deal with a Sexually Transmitted Infection or an unwanted teen pregnancy.
Because there is no cure for HIV/AIDS.
Because every girl and every woman deserve the right to choose who does and does not touch their body.
Because every person deserves respect and love regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender, sex, or class.
Because teens are having sex whether we want to believe it or not.
Because these teenagers deserve the right to proper sexual health education
Because 'Abstinence Only Until Marraige' programs DO NOT WORK.
Because sex and sexuality lie at the core of every human being.
Because we can choose enlightenment over ignorance.

You are the main character, a Girl, Interrupted. You have a borderline personality and were admitted to Claymore after chasing a bottle of aspirin with a bottle of vodka. You ended being up a successful writer after your release, just like Sylvia Plath.
