Biography

Icuc Noni - [ísus nóni] - is a music creating collective which makes 'progressive' music.
The band is founded in march 2005 and consists of 4 members, Maarten De Bock (synths, samples and sax), Andries De Bock (synth and electric guitar), Bart De Clercq (electric bassguitar and guitar) and Roy Verbeke (Drums)
Before the inauguration of Icuc Noni, Andries, Maarten and Bart played already in a band called "X erhmhoisuirea" in which they where searching for a new sound based on a groovy mixture between progressive guitar riffs and vintage synth sounds. When the drummer left the band, the band called it a day.
In their search for new sounds and drummer, the remaining trio still played together on special occasions. Around spring 2005, the trio invited Jan Moeremans for a try out. It soon seemed that Jan was one of the missing links where the trio was searching for. Loads of jams and good vibes between the musicians lead to a great progression in creating music.
A new promising collective was born called: “Icuc Noni”.
In this formation, the band did a couple of gigs while trying to add vocals to their music (experiments with Thomas De Smet).
The initial great progression of Icuc Noni has been subsided because of different reasons (medical reasons). Because of that, the year 2006 was not really the most productive year. Jan couldn't really accept this and decided to leave the band end of 2006.
Only the trio remained searching again for a new drummer.
Since July 2007, Roy Verbeke is replacing Jan succesfully. Last but not least, Jef Vlegels has joined Icuc Noni in September 2007 to fulfill the lower frequencies of the band.
