Stoopid Genius

This is the latest group to emerge from our independent label Smilin' Jack Records. For now we're just a bunch of guys, and one pesky puppet. We consider this an outlet for the songs we don't use on our other projects. The name "Stoopid Genius" reflects the mixed bag of some serious tunage or wacky comedy songs we like to write to blow off some steam. Hope you enjoy!Basically, we all drive over to Chris' home studio and record whatever we want. It's great. We can record anything from nonsense to the very serious stuff. We can tap any genre for inspiration too.For those of you who haven't given up the "trying to make it big" thing yet, or are out on the circuit playing cover tunes - this is a better way to go! We do what we want, when we want, because we can. No pressure - just fun. We can put out as many songs or CDs as we want and never have to play out if we don't want to. Hah! Why should we? We're too busy having a good time. Who wants to be their own roadie anyway?We get to focus on one thing at a time, one song at a time. I suggest to every musician to start your own home studio and blow off the gigs. Most people don't care about original tunes anyway. They're just a bunch of drunks tryin' to get laid. At MySpace.Com you have a captive audience and you get great feedback. It doesn't get any better than this.And hey, if things get too stressful - we just chill out, watch cartoons, drink, BBQ, listen to some music or go on vacation."Hey Chuch, we're gonna be here a while.
